Capital Market Awareness and Investor Education Programme throughout the country

Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has initiated to conduct the investor education programmes throughout the country. It has been realized that there is lack of informed investors causing high volatility in the pricing of securities in the secondary market. Government of Nepal has also incorporated a programme in the budget speech of current fiscal year for conducting securities market awareness programmes in the schools and colleges throughout country.

SEBON grants License to Stock Broker

SEBON has granted License to Shree Hari Securities P. Ltd. to operate stock broker business under the provision of Securities Businessperson (Stock Broker, Dealer & Market Maker) Regulation, 2064 on December 18, 2011. Including this, SEBON has granted license to 25 new companies to operate stock broker business. The total number of stock brokers licensed by SEBON has reached 48, including 25 new companies.

SEBON has granted License to Bhrikuti Stock Broking Co. P. Ltd. and Nasa Securities Company Ltd. to operate stock broker business under the provision of Securities Businessperson (Stock Broker, Dealer & Market Maker) Regulation, 2064 on November 25, 2011. Including this, SEBON has granted license to 22 new companies to operate stock broker business. The total number of stock brokers licensed by SEBON has reached 45, including 22 new companies.

SEBON has granted License to Investment Management Nepal P. Ltd. and Sewa Securities Company Ltd. to operate stock broker business under the provision of Securities Businessperson (Stock Broker, Dealer & Market Maker) Regulation, 2064 on November 25, 2011. Including this, SEBON has granted license to 24 new companies to operate stock broker business. The total number of stock brokers licensed by SEBON has reached 47, including 24 new companies.
